Upton House is a very special place. It offers a dignified and caring environment for its residents and their families to enjoy what is a very upsetting and challenging time within a family. The care I see on display, not only to my mother-in-law but to all the residents, reassures me she is in safe, caring hands. The staff are always friendly, professional and happy to welcome us inside, with the offer of coffee and cakes. We would highly recommend this care home.

As Mum approaches two years of being a resident at Upton House, she continues her "journey" at this outstanding care home. All the carers show so much compassion and friendliness towards the residents and it is such a relief to know that Mum is in very safe hands. Seeing residents' faces light up when the owner, carers and/or chef walk into the room, show what a great environment Upton House is. It is no exaggeration to say it is a family and we also feel part of it.

The care given to my mother has always been excellent. Lovely property and has plenty of staff. The rooms are nicely finished and comfortable. The food is good with dietary requirements seen too. I would recommend this home.

Mum has been a resident of Upton House for a little over a year now and is very content in her lovely room overlooking the garden. The standard of care has remained consistently excellent. The staff are professional, compassionate and responsive, with a good dose of humour and common sense thrown into the mix. Nothing is ever too much, and being a small home, they can attend to any individual’s wants or needs, which makes it feel like their home rather than an institution. A tray of freshly made cakes with tea or coffee is offered at every visit, which is something that Mum would have done in her own home, thus allowing her to play the hostess.
We remain very happy with Mum’s care and can sleep well at night knowing that she is in very safe hands surrounded by people who truly care about her wellbeing.

My mum has been a resident for six weeks. I cannot fault the care, support, understanding and professionalism given to my mum and to the rest of her family by all the staff members at a very upsetting time. Visiting is never restricted and we are always made to feel welcome.
Within the short time Mum has been at Upton House, she seems more settled and relaxed. The overall atmosphere of warmth and friendliness adds to the safe environment offered to the clients and I would not hesitate in recommending Upton House.

After two years at home with 24 hour care, the time had come for my mother to receive care home care. My cousin and I had visited many homes in the area and decided on Upton House, Worth, Deal. My mother was welcomed by all the friendly staff and settled in. Her mobility was encouraged and immediately improved. I am very impressed with the appetising menu delivered daily and the activities that are organised regularly for all the residents. My mother has been in Upton House now for 9 months and seems very settled, happy and content, which was always my goal.

Staff are superb at managing care providing mental and physical stimulation and exercise. The home puts on continual engagement and entertainment. Residents are all happy and kept in excellent condition and presentation is immaculate. All residents are addressed by name and adapted to depending on their individual needs.

Delightful Georgian house set in truly rural Kentish countryside. Owned and managed and operated by same family for over 26 years in true British tradition. Testament in itself where caring really is the watch word. No effort spared to ensure residents' contentment. Exceptional staff trained (EMI) to a high degree but receiving continuous further training. Limited resident numbers makes one to one care possible. Superb food, mostly locally sourced, leaves nothing to be desired. Pleasant surroundings and secure gardens.

Upton House is an intimate and comfortable care home set in attractive grounds and comprising a period building in good decorative order. The home displays little obvious signs of being an institution which helps residents to make the transition to a total care environment from home. The staff and management are caring and attentive and meals are good.

Upton House is a care home specialising in dementia care. It is a beautiful old house in a peaceful setting, very well converted with lovely, large bright rooms and a secluded garden for its residents. It is always well maintained and clean.
The staff are always bright and cheerful no matter what life throws at them during their working hours. I was promised that they would care for my father until the very end. A promise that they kept and I cannot express my gratitude to them enough, because that is what they did. The entire staff is kind and caring and they love all their residents. If I were asked to recommend a care home to anyone, this would be the place. There is not enough room here to express my true feelings.

I moved my mother, Mrs T E L to Upton House from another local home and it was the best thing I ever did. It is a period house with well-kept gardens. The staff headed by Jacqui J, The General Manager, are friendly and very caring. They communicate immediately if a problem arises. I thoroughly recommend it. My mother has been a resident for 4+ years.

My father has vascular dementia and could no longer be cared for at home. When visiting care homes prior to selection, we were astounded by not only calmness in general of this specialist E.M.I home but also the in-house relationships between residents and staff. My father has gained a much needed half stone in weight. He is doing very well all thanks to Upton House.
